Conversation #1—Circle of Shared Prosperity—Jessie Duffy

– “harmony is the ideal state”
– “shared prosperity” vs. charity
– “breaking up with independence”

Jessie Duffy is the owner and operator of Arlington Five Coffeehouse (Instagram), which I regard as the best café in Ottawa’s Centretown, and top 3 in all of the National Capital Region.

She’s part of the founding and operating team of Cooking for a Cause Ottawa, which is a purpose-driven project that makes several dozen meals a week for those that are less fortunate at community centres throughout the city. You can share a meal with our less fortunate neighbours by clicking here.

There’s a reason why I chose Jessie as my first guest on this podcast. I only had a few brief encounters with her at Arlington Five before this conversation, but they were instantly profound and genuine, so I knew I was going to get someone that was transparent and willing to be open to a vulnerable conversation.

There you have it! Enjoy this inaugural podcast episode with me digging into Jessie’s life unfiltered!

A film photo I took of Jessie before the first ever conversation of Being Aathentik with Aatik podcast, recorded on my balcony in September.
